IX. Other Maintenance Cost (Posted 28th June 2003)

Students may join courses for development of their “Information Technology (IT)” or “Communication Skills” or even for their “Personality Development,” provided such courses are available within their college and are certified by the Principal of the College as useful. In any case, students are advised to obtain prior permission from FAEA before joining the course.

Q3) Will FAEA help us getting admission to the college? (Posted 28th June 2003)

No, FAEA shall not help in getting admission to the college. The students need to secure admission themselves.

Q4) Will FAEA help us getting admission to the Associate colleges of FAEA? (Posted 28th June 2003)

FAEA might help in getting you admitted to the Associate colleges but does not guarantee admission. You will need to apply directly to the Institute concerned and secure admission. You are advised to inform FAEA if you apply in any of the Associate colleges listed and we shall also pursue the matter at our own level.

Q5) Is it necessary for me to join FAEA’s Associate College only? (Posted 28th June 2003)

No, you may join any college of your choice anywhere in the country. Just because FAEA has selected you for the scholarship does not mean that you will have to join the Associate College. You are at liberty to choose any college and any course/discipline of study within the geographical limits of India. We shall only advise you to join a college/institution with a proven track record of excellence.

Q6) Why is that someone with less percentage in Class X or Class XII got selected and not me. I had better percentage than him? (Posted 28th June 2003)

Academic performance alone does not guarantee selection for FAEA Scholarship. Academic performance is just one of the parameters. It is linked to social and economic deprivation criteria. Depending upon both academic performance and your standing in terms of deprivation index, you are called for the interview and thereafter the Selection committee, consisting of eminent persons, decides who gets the scholarship.

Q7) Will you pay to my college directly? (Posted 28th June 2003)

Yes, we will, if you submit the documents well ahead in advance and give us 2 clear weeks to make the payment. Incase you find that you need to pay the fees immediately and there isn’t enough time, you may go ahead and pay the fees and then submit the documents after you have secured admission. We shall reimburse you later on the production of relevant documents.

Q8) Will you pay me if I join any college and ask for reimbursement? (Posted 28th June 2003)

FAEA shall pay you as long as you join a recognised college. Recognised college is defined as a college which has received recognition from University Grants Commission and/or affiliated to one of the Universities in the Country.

Q9) I am already receiving Scholarship? Will I have to discontinue that? Can I continue with both Schoalrship? (Posted 17th July 2003)

You cannot benefit from 2 Scholarship at the same time. You will have to choose either FAEA Scholarship or the one that you are already getting. If you wish to avail FAEA Scholarship, you will have to discontinue the existing Scholarship. You can send us a letter stating that you have discontinued the Scholarship and get it attested by your college Principal.

However, you can avail of SC/ST/OBC/Women waiver/exemption given by the Central/State Government. Incase you are enjoying this benefit you must inform FAEA about the same.

Kindly note that non-disclosure or non-discontinuation of your Scholarship may lead to your FAEA Scholarship being cancelled.

Q10) I have already paid my college tuition fees etc for the academic year 2002-03. How can I get reimbursement for this? (Posted 17th July 2003)

FAEA has awarded you the Scholarship for the academic year 2003-04. FAEA shall not pay for the year 2002-03. You are requested to submit your tuition fee requirement for the academic year 2003-04 only.

In case you are still studying in your previous class (i.e. not yet completed your academic session 2002-03) you will have to wait till you get promoted to the next class.
